Today was a pretty special day, our very first fawn was born! Our first doe fawn is spotted and gosh she is gorgeous. We are so in love with her and my mama heart is just bursting with joy. I’m beyond thankful we can share this with our children too. What a proud moment to have our first BRC red ear tag in the herd. She looks great with that special earring. New life is always a celebration!
Not only was today our first doe fawn’s birth but it was also a much needed rainy day! We have been in an exceptional drought status since last summer and we are not sure that today’s rain will lift that but we are so thankful for any moisture at this point. Hopefully this is a turning point and more rain will keep coming our way. Gotta keep the pasture grass growing for the new fawns this summer!
